Algebra 2 Proficiency Program

Overview

The Catchup Math Algebra 2 Proficiency Program reviews the course content covered in Algebra 2 textbooks and is divided into six sequential sections. Pre-tests (quizzes) are given for each section, and students are assigned lessons based on incorrect answers. Re-teaching includes text lessons (in both English and Spanish), videos, activities, and practice problems with tutorial solutions. A student takes repeat quizzes and receives lesson-prescriptions until passing each section. Teachers can review student work written on our online whiteboard. Material from earlier courses and sections is often included and even repeated.

Asymptotes, Combining Like Terms, Composition of Functions, Cross Products, Distributive Property, Dividing Polynomials, Factoring, Inverse Functions, Monomials, Binomials and Polynomials, Multiplying Polynomials, Operations with Complex Numbers, Quadratic Equations, Quadratic Formula, Root, Simplifying Rational Expressions, Solving Linear Equations, Solving Rational Equations.

Section 3

Combinations, Completing the Square, Degree of a Polynomial, Domain and Range, Logarithms, Monomials, Binomials and Polynomials, Operations with Complex Numbers, Permutations, Planes, Quadratic Equations, Vertex of a Parabola.

Section 4

Combining Like Terms, Completing the Square, Conic Sections and Standard forms of Equations, Distance Formula, Distributive Property, Exponential Decay, Exponents, Logarithmic to Exponential Form, Logarithms, nth Term of an Arithmetic Sequence, Power of a Power Property, Properties of Exponents, Solving Logarithmic Equations, Solving Quadratic Equations by Square Roots, Solving Quadratic Equations Using Factoring, Standard Equation of a Circle, Sum of a Finite Arithmetic Series, Surface Area of a Prism.
